The Salt Mines of Rio Maior
The salt flats are part of the protected area of the Serras de Aire e Candeeiros Natural Park, approximately 75km from Lisbon. The limestone characteristics of this area allow the formation of underground watercourses. One of these courses crosses a rock salt deposit and feeds a well from which water is extracted that is 7 times saltier than sea water.

Our products are the fruits of nature, combined with the work and dedication of our family. Our salt is collected through artisanal processes, inherited from generation to generation, and carefully packaged, without any additional process. The quality of our Salt and Fleur de Sel is recognized by chefs and certified organizations.
