There's a region in Trás-os-Montes, in the northeast of Portugal, which is blessed by nature, surrounded by mountains, where hills and small valleys are virtually covered by olive trees.
The weather conditions, cold winters and hot summers, the perfect altitude, averaging about
400 metres above sea level, and the fertility of its soils define an authentic terroir in this Protected Designation of Origin (DOP/PDO) region.
Our olive growers are able to make the best use of these natural conditions which are fundamental
to the production of an olive of superior quality.
This piece of land has been maintained and respected by the olive growers, thereby perpetuating the legacy handed to them by their
ancestors, by preserving the same traditional olive grove and applying almost the same sustainable
farming methods. Only thus can such an exceptional raw material be possible.
Harvested at the right time and quickly brought to the mill, the olives are immediately processed
through cold extraction and using only the first extraction in order to minimize the impact of the whole process. The result is an Extra Virgin Olive Oil DOP/PDO replete with flavours, delicate aromas and a singular taste, with unique
organoleptic characteristics such as the high level of polyphenols.
