Facetas de Daniel Martins olive oil comes from a family production of olive trees from Trás-os-Montes, in organic production mode. Pure olive juice produced according to the highest quality parameters !!
The olive grove is located on the immense hills of Trás-os-Montes, a region known nationally for the quality of its agricultural products. Traditional agriculture is still the most common practice in these areas, and the schist soils and the unique climate are ideal for producing good wines, olive oil and almonds.
About half of the olive trees are over 100 years old and were registered in 1903, and there may be some of them with much more, as they already existed when Daniel Martins' grandfather acquired them.
The other half of the olive grove was planted about 40 years ago and taking into account the long life of an olive tree, they are still in their infancy. Nowadays we have made new plantings and replantations, trying to optimize the entire structure of the olive grove.
The varieties existing in this oil are verdeal, cordovil, madural, cobrançosa and negrinha do freixo.
It is this immense variety of species that gives this oil its distinctive character, with well-defined characteristics that provide a unique sensory experience.
