Characteristics
The centuries-old Herdade do Monte de Portugal, stands on top of the clayey mountain range of Montargil. 350 hectares surround and surround the "Monte", where gazes oriented to the south hide traces of the Ribatejo and now clearly see the grandeur and immensity of the northern Alentejo heath.
This varied horizon is painted throughout the year, the green of spring, yellow from the ripe crops and stubble, and an earthy black from the plowed fields of winter.
On these sunny slopes, new intensive olive groves now share the space with centuries-old olive trees.
Today, whether they are 5 or 500 years old, day by day they drink, once scarce, the purest water that the depths of this fertile soil have kept for years.
Honoring the name of the estate - Portugal - we favor the cultivation of national varieties: Galega, Cobrançosa and Cordovil de Serpa.
