The producer
Bem Amanhado develops canned fish from the river, prepared and made using traditional Portuguese cuisine methods.
Through an ongoing process of research and survey of national recipes, of culinary characterization and experimentation, sensory and laboratory analysis, combines low temperature cooking methods that better preserve and maintain the organoleptic quality of each type of fish, packaged in extra virgin olive oil.
Based on artisanal and sustainable fishing, mainly from November to May, Bem Amanhado works mainly with exotic/invasive species, with a view to contributing to the balance of biodiversity in the freshwater ecosystems of Portugal.
It is intended to contribute to the recovery and increase of the river fishing art of small riverside populations, as well as to the recovery and registration of Portuguese cultural and gastronomic heritage of river fish delicacies.
