Characteristics
Passeite is a family business dedicated to the production of high quality extra virgin olive oil, located in Coimbra, Portugal. Our passion began in 2000, when we planted a small olive grove with Portuguese-Dutch roots. As we participated in the annual harvest, we fell in love with olives and their health benefits. Through self-learning, collaboration and lots of experimentation, we are now ready to share our products with you, confident that the wait was worth it.
We take an all-natural approach, using only the climate, animals and plants to fertilize and maintain our olive groves. In addition to our own plantations, we manage third-party olive groves to produce high-quality olive oils from the little-known terroir of Coimbra in central Portugal, where eucalyptus plantations have unfortunately replaced much of the old olive groves. To guarantee the excellence and flavor of our olive oils, we are involved in every detail of the production process.
